Architecture and Architecture Technology modules will be taking over space in the unused former Central Post Office – a listed building in the heart of the city’s historic markets area – to collaborate for the second year in this edgy ‘pop-up’ design fair. A showcase for those in the region whose work combines design, craft skills and entrepreneurship the event provides a unique opportunity for students to develop and promote their design and making skills to the wider community.
Last year more than 2,000 people visited the UCLan space to enjoy their exhibitions and performance. This year we are proposing to enhance links to the city and square beyond through a student-led & designed intervention between the building and the spaces outside; highlighting our links to and work within the wider region – and providing a tangible invitation into this hive of creativity.
